Precision Fused Silica Plano-Concave Single Optical Lens

Felix Glass plano-concave single lens is manufactured from high-purity synthetic fused silica (fused quartz glass), a high-performance optical substrate with ultra-wide transmission covering deep ultraviolet to near-infrared band. The lens adopts plano-concave single-element structure: one flat plane surface, one concave curved surface, presenting negative focal length optical characteristic, which is specially used for laser beam expansion, beam divergence and chromatic aberration matching optical paths.

Ultra-precision CNC grinding and polishing guarantee high surface figure accuracy and ultra-low surface roughness. Fused silica features extremely low thermal expansion coefficient, stable optical performance under high-power UV laser irradiation, and excellent high temperature resistance, no deformation or light absorption drift under continuous industrial laser operation. Custom wavelength-matched AR anti-reflection coating can be deposited on both surfaces to reduce surface reflection loss and improve UV/IR light throughput.

Standard FAQ

1. What is the main function of plano-concave fused silica lens?
It is a negative diverging lens, mainly used to expand laser beam, adjust optical path divergence angle, match optical system focal length; fused silica material supports deep UV laser that ordinary optical glass cannot transmit.
2. What advantages does fused silica have over BK7 optical glass?
Fused silica can transmit deep ultraviolet light below 300nm, with ultra-low thermal expansion and high temperature resistance, suitable for UV laser and high-temperature optical environments; BK7 glass only transmits 400nm and above visible light.
3. Can I customize focal length and anti-reflection coating for this lens?
Yes, we support custom aperture, negative focal length, and AR coating optimized for UV, 532nm green laser or 1064nm infrared laser working wavelength.
4. What equipment matches this fused silica plano-concave lens?
It fits UV laser marking machines, fiber laser beam expanders, laboratory spectrometers, semiconductor inspection optical systems and industrial precision measuring instruments.
5. Do you provide sample and mass production for fused silica optical lenses?
We supply prototype sampling, small trial batches and large-scale manufacturing, all fused silica lenses pass full spectral transmittance and surface quality inspection before shipment.
