What Is AR AF AG Coated Glass?

AR AF AG coated glass combines three surface-performance options that solve different problems. AR anti-reflective coating improves light transmission and reduces surface reflection. AG anti-glare treatment diffuses harsh light so screens stay readable under bright ambient conditions. AF anti-fingerprint coating reduces smudges and makes daily cleaning easier. Depending on the device, Felix Glass can supply one coating, two coatings or a combined coating stack on tempered, chemically strengthened or custom-cut glass.

Features of Felix Glass Anti-Reflective and Anti-Glare Glass

Lower Reflection

AR coated glass helps reduce mirror-like reflection and improves visible clarity for displays, cover lenses and optical windows.

Better Screen Readability

AG glass softens bright reflections so operators can read HMI screens, automotive panels and medical displays more comfortably.

Cleaner Touch Surface

AF coating resists fingerprints and oil marks, supporting a smoother touch feel and easier cleaning in public or repeated-use devices.

Tempered Strength

Coated glass can be combined with thermal tempering or chemical strengthening for improved scratch, impact and field durability.

Anti-Reflective Glass for High-Transmission Display Covers

Anti-reflective glass is used when brightness, contrast and viewing accuracy matter. Felix Glass supplies AR coated tempered glass for industrial displays, medical monitors, touch screens, optical cover windows and automotive screens. For OEM projects, buyers can specify size, thickness, edge finish, printing window, optical transmittance target and coating surface.

  • Suitable for HMI panels, outdoor displays and instrument screens
  • Available with custom CNC cutting, holes, notches and polished edges
  • Can be combined with AG or AF coating when the application requires it

Anti-Glare and Non-Glare Glass for Bright Working Environments

Anti-glare glass, also called non-glare glass, reduces the visual impact of strong light by diffusing reflection across the surface. It is a practical choice for factory-floor screens, transportation displays, outdoor control panels, medical equipment, kiosk screens and smart home panels where users need stable readability from different viewing angles.

  • Matte visual effect for lower glare and more comfortable viewing
  • Custom haze level available according to display brightness and use environment
  • Compatible with silk screen printing and shaped cover glass designs

Anti-Fingerprint Glass for Touch Screens and Control Panels

AF anti-fingerprint coating creates a smoother, easier-to-clean surface for devices that are touched frequently. It is especially useful for HMI control panels, bathroom heater touch panels, smart appliance glass, wearable screens, automotive center-control glass and medical display covers where oil marks and smudges can affect user experience.

  • Helps reduce visible fingerprint marks and cleaning frequency
  • Works with waterproof touch-control glass and smart appliance cover panels
  • Can be paired with AR or AG coating for a balanced visual and touch experience

Anti-Reflective and Anti-Glare Glass Questions

Is anti-reflective glass the same as anti-glare glass?

No. AR glass reduces reflection through optical coating, while AG or non-glare glass diffuses reflected light through a matte surface treatment. Many display projects use one or combine both depending on the environment.

Can Felix Glass combine AR, AG and AF coatings?

Yes. Felix Glass can discuss single or combined coating structures such as AR+AF, AG+AF or AR+AG+AF, depending on substrate, screen brightness and user-touch conditions.

What information is needed for a coated glass quote?

Please provide glass size, thickness, drawing, target coating, print color, edge requirement, hole or notch design, application and expected order quantity.
